职位描述

Key Responsibilities -
- To lead a team of engineers to deliver Affordable, Innovative and Sustainable solutions.
- Manage the global workload, plans and personal development of a team of engineers.
- To develop products, in collaboration with industrial designers, adapted to the customer needs and guarantee the industrial feasibility.
- Balancing manufacturing constraints, cost, quality, and sustainable impact, using should cost and a design to cost approach.
- Perform cost comparisons and advise the most efficient combination to achieve the cost target set.
- Responsible to 3D Model the product using Solidworks (or similar CAD system) to ensure that the intentions and expectations of the design are respected, and the aesthetic is guaranteed.
- Product technical drawings, specifications and bill of materials based on of the usage specifications, selecting the materials and components to optimize the price-performance ratio and achieve the target.
- To develop and suggest exclusive components, solutions and products at the best value for money as well as to study the customer/DiYer needs within the key development focus area (water, energy, space, IoT, ergonomics, comfort).
- Coordinate the development to production with other key stakeholders (sourcing, production, quality)
- Post launch, to continuously review the performance and feedback of implemented products, planning for improvement and updates based on:
- Component Improvement
- Material Improvement
- Structural Improvement
- Cost Improvement
- Responsible for reviewing the drawings and specifications created by direct team and validate the final detail or Bill of Material.
- Test product concepts in the field and verify, via protocols and with a panel of testers, compliance with specifications. Analyse the test results and communicate them to the product team to readjust the product concept.
- Support new product introduction activities, including feasibility study, DFM, tool qualification, first article verification and defect analysis.
- Develop Tier 2 suppliers and Contract Manufacturer to support the development of contract manufacturing model.
Skills / Experience -
- Engineering master’s degree
- Significant experience of more than 5 years in a similar position, in product development.
- Strong product / manufacturing process experience (e.g. electronics, metal, plastics, wood, extrusion, injection…)
- Mastery of computer tools, and ideally design software (e.g. SolidWorks) and drawing.
- Expert on Design to Cost approach.
- Fluency in English and local Language (depending on the location)
- Ability to communicate, be proactive and rigorous.
